Store Assistant / Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Store Assistant / Specialist to support store operations, inventory management and material control across our construction projects. The role is fully remote and reports to the project management team, ensuring that all material movements are accurately recorded and compliant with project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement store procedures, inventory controls and material‑management processes aligned with project objectives.
• Handle material receipt, inspection, storage, identification, issuance, transfers, returns and stock counts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Procurement, Finance and Logistics teams to maintain accurate documentation such as purchase orders, delivery notes and issue vouchers.
• Monitor supplier and contractor compliance with material specifications, delivery schedules, quality and packaging requirements.
• Manage inventory adjustments including shortages, damaged goods, excess stock, obsolete items and discrepancies.
• Track inventory levels, consumption, stock movements and coordinate reorder requirements with relevant departments.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for store operations and report on reconciliation and close‑out activities.

Required profile

• Mid‑level to senior experience in store or inventory management within construction projects.
• Proven ability to manage material receipt, storage, issuance and reconciliation end‑to‑end.
• Familiarity with construction supply‑chain processes and documentation requirements.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional teams including procurement, finance and engineering.
