Teacher of English (Adults & Young Learners)

About the role

The British Council is seeking a passionate Teacher of English to deliver high‑quality language instruction to adult and young learners in Algeria. You will create an engaging, supportive classroom environment that inspires learners to develop confidence and proficiency in English.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that align with British Council Global Teaching Standards.
• Adapt teaching materials to meet the diverse needs, learning styles and goals of each learner group.
• Monitor learner progress, provide constructive feedback and encourage learner autonomy.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve courses, teaching resources and centre activities.
• Maintain accurate administrative records and uphold professional conduct at all times.
