Electrical Draftsman

About the role

The Electrical Draftsman will create, modify and maintain electrical drawings and documentation for construction and engineering projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical, shop, as‑built drawings and layouts using AutoCAD and other drafting tools.
• Develop electrical plans for power distribution, lighting, earthing, cable routing and ELV systems.
• Produce single‑line diagrams, schematics, panel layouts and cable schedules.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants and clients to address drawing requirements and revisions.
• Maintain drawing registers, document control and ensure compliance with project specs and local regulations.

Required profile

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Drafting or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience as an Electrical Draftsman in construction, industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with GCC projects is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of electrical drafting software and tools.
• Ability to produce shop drawings, as‑built drawings and material take‑offs.
