About the role
The Electrical Draftsman will create, modify and maintain electrical drawings and documentation for construction and engineering projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare detailed electrical, shop, as‑built drawings and layouts using AutoCAD and other drafting tools.
- Develop electrical plans for power distribution, lighting, earthing, cable routing and ELV systems.
- Produce single‑line diagrams, schematics, panel layouts and cable schedules.
- Coordinate with engineers, consultants and clients to address drawing requirements and revisions.
- Maintain drawing registers, document control and ensure compliance with project specs and local regulations.
Required profile
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Drafting or related field.
- Minimum 3 years experience as an Electrical Draftsman in construction, industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Experience with GCC projects is preferred.
Required skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of electrical drafting software and tools.
- Ability to produce shop drawings, as‑built drawings and material take‑offs.
