Licensed Electrical Technician – EV Charger Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a licensed Electrical Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems across commercial, residential and industrial properties. The role also covers the installation, testing, commissioning and upkeep of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations while ensuring full compliance with Bahrain EWA regulations and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, equipment and components.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical assets.
• Install and maintain wiring, distribution boards, circuit breakers, lighting, sockets, switches and power outlets.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Install, commission, test and maintain EV charging stations.
• Prepare electrical infrastructure for EV charger installations and perform related cabling and protective device work.
• Troubleshoot EV charging equipment and resolve faults.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors and clients during projects.
• Prepare installation reports, commissioning documents and maintenance records.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.

Required profile

• Valid EWA Electrical Technician License (mandatory).
• Diploma, ITI or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Technology.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
• Experience in commercial buildings or facilities management preferred.
• Experience with EV charger installation is an advantage.
• Good time‑management and organisational skills.
