Projects Manager – Retail & Commercial Fit‑out

About the role

The Projects Manager will lead fast‑track fit‑out projects for retail stores, food & beverage outlets, hotels and commercial offices. Working independently, you will oversee planning, coordination and delivery of multiple projects, ensuring they meet client requirements, safety standards, quality expectations, budget and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Convert tender programmes into detailed construction schedules, define procurement needs and client meeting calendars.
• Set project objectives, scope, budgeting, performance targets and allocate internal resources such as QA/QC, health & safety and MEP management.
• Select and vet subcontractors, approve interim payments and final accounts, and manage interim valuations.
• Attend site meetings as the company representative, ensure sufficient labour, equipment and materials, and maximise resource efficiency.
• Maintain accurate progress records, report weekly to senior management and ensure clear communication with clients.
• Oversee health and safety on all sites, manage vendor and trade subcontractor performance, and drive on‑time, on‑budget rectifications.
• Compile Operations & Maintenance manuals and manage project close‑out in line with contractual obligations.

Required profile

• Minimum 7‑8 years experience with reputable fit‑out contractors in the Middle East.
• At least 10 years total experience in fit‑out or construction project management.
• Strong technical, execution and commercial abilities, especially in woodworking, joinery and timber manufacturing practices.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and manage large‑scale projects safely and profitably.
