Sales Specialist

About the role

The Sales Specialist supports commercial activities, manages a customer portfolio and drives business growth through quotation management and relationship development. Working closely with Inside and Outside Sales teams, the role promotes CMA CGM services and non‑maritime products while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop an assigned customer portfolio to support business growth and strengthen relationships.
• Oversee quotation activities through MyPrice, ensuring timely follow‑up on pending, expiring, and unbooked quotations.
• Analyze customer requirements and coordinate with relevant teams to provide competitive, tailored shipping solutions.
• Identify opportunities to promote CMA CGM Group services and non‑maritime products.
• Support commercial negotiations and help resolve pricing disputes and freight‑related claims.
• Collaborate with Inside Sales and Outside Sales teams to maximize commercial opportunities and improve sales performance.
• Monitor customer needs and market trends to identify potential business opportunities.
• Contribute to achieving commercial targets and improving customer retention and satisfaction.

Required profile

• University degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in the shipping and logistics industry.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong account and portfolio management, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial acumen with understanding of customer needs and market dynamics.
• Ability to identify business opportunities and contribute to sales growth.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with MyPrice or similar commercial quotation systems.
• Familiarity with relevant commercial systems and applications.
