About the role
The Protocol Department at Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain is seeking a Coordinator to support diplomatic and official events, ensuring the highest standards of etiquette and guest experience across the resort.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in planning and coordinating diplomatic ceremonies, receptions and official visits in line with established protocols.
- Maintain up‑to‑date guest lists for dignitaries, government officials and other VIPs, handling invitations and seating arrangements.
- Coordinate VIP logistics including transportation, accommodation, security and special requests.
- Oversee event logistics such as venue setup, catering, audiovisual equipment, signage and protocol‑related materials.
- Liaise with organizing committees, government agencies, diplomatic missions and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication.
- Support ceremonial proceedings (flag ceremonies, national anthems, official speeches) and ensure correct forms of address and order of precedence.
- Prepare and deliver protocol briefings for staff, volunteers and participants.
- Maintain detailed records of event activities and produce post‑event reports for evaluation.
Required profile
- Proven experience in protocol, diplomatic or high‑profile event coordination.
- Strong knowledge of etiquette, order of precedence and official ceremony procedures.
- Excellent organizational and record‑keeping abilities.
- Ability to work closely with government bodies, diplomatic missions and internal teams.
