Intelligence Analyst – Geopolitical Intelligence Desk

About the role

The Geopolitical Intelligence Desk (GPID) Analyst monitors, assesses, and reports on global geopolitical, security, and operational developments. You will produce high‑quality written intelligence products that help clients anticipate risks, understand emerging threats, and make informed decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor worldwide geopolitical, security, economic, and societal events using open‑source intelligence (OSINT) and approved sources.
• Research and analyse armed conflicts, political instability, civil unrest, terrorism, crime trends, supply‑chain disruptions, and related developments.
• Produce daily intelligence reports, situation updates, alerts, strategic assessments, executive briefings, and client‑focused analytical products.
• Identify emerging risks and trends that could affect personnel, assets, operations, travel, or business continuity.
• Validate sources and verify information to ensure analytical accuracy and reporting integrity.
• Support client‑specific intelligence requests and priority projects.
• Maintain awareness of rapidly evolving events and provide timely reporting during breaking incidents.
• Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet production deadlines and quality standards.

Required profile

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, Intelligence Studies, Journalism, History, Economics, Regional Studies, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in intelligence analysis, geopolitical risk analysis, journalism, strategic research, security operations, academia, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to synthesize large volumes of information into concise, actionable assessments.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, with the capacity to work independently under deadline pressure.
