Production Engineer

About the role

Havelock One Interiors is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to lead day‑to‑day manufacturing activities in its Askar workshop. The role involves overseeing a team of fabrication and welding professionals to ensure efficient production of bespoke metal interiors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily production work alongside supervisors, managing 50‑60 fabrication/welding staff.
• Monitor and adjust production schedules to meet project timelines.
• Supervise a dedicated team of 20 fabricators and welders.
• Produce hand‑sketches for bespoke metal fabrication detailing.
• Maintain efficiency of sheet‑metal machinery and uphold 5S standards.
• Enforce discipline, safety, and PPE compliance on the shop floor.
• Utilise basic knowledge of Autodesk and Epicor for production planning.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the sheet‑metal fabrication industry.
• Strong knowledge of sheet‑metal machinery and processes, including laser cutting, press brake, rolling, MIG/TIG welding, and related tools.
• Proven experience in metal interior fabrication.

Required skills

• Hand‑sketching for custom metal detailing.
• Basic proficiency with Autodesk software.
• Basic proficiency with Epicor ERP.
• Operation of laser cutting, press brake, rolling, MIG and TIG welding equipment.
