Advanced Process Control (APC) Engineer

About the role

Yokogawa is seeking an experienced APC Engineer to lead the implementation of Advanced Process Control solutions across its industrial automation portfolio. You will work on monitoring and control packages that support the energy transition, biotechnology, AI, and industrial cybersecurity.

Key responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for APC deployment and define hardware/software architecture for each process unit.
• Execute end‑to‑end APC and MVC projects, including control definition, functional design specifications, plant testing, detailed engineering, controller and estimator modeling, site integration, SAT, commissioning, post‑audit and PGTR.
• Coordinate multiple projects and provide technical support to ensure successful delivery of large‑scale APC initiatives.
• Offer advisory and maintenance services, modify control strategies to maximise APC uptime, and deliver training to plant operators and engineers.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in Advanced Process Control.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Proven track record commissioning APC controllers in refining, petrochemical or polymer units.
• Experience with Yokogawa APC software PACE is an advantage.
