Assistant Bar Manager – Hospitality

About the role

The Assistant Bar Manager supports the Bar Manager in delivering a high‑quality, efficient beverage service that enhances the guest experience while complying with all licensing and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an effective bar operation with a focus on quality and efficiency.
• Set, implement, and monitor guest service standards.
• Prepare the outlet according to operational standards and licensing requirements.
• Train and coach staff on beverage knowledge, service procedures, health & safety, and uniform standards.
• Conduct performance appraisals, develop personal development plans, and ensure ongoing training.
• Manage staff absences, disciplinary actions, and delegation structures.
• Handle administrative duties related to team members.
• Produce revenue forecasts, drive upselling, and work with cost‑control to meet profit targets.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation and hospitality mindset.
• Leadership ability to train, motivate, and evaluate team members.
• Knowledge of licensing regulations and health & safety standards.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
