Cargo Supervisor – Bahrain

About the role

We are seeking a Cargo Supervisor to lead our cargo operations in Bahrain, ensuring superior service for existing and potential customers while complying with EK SkyCargo standards. The role involves coordinating daily activities, managing staff and third‑party contractors, and maintaining high operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and coordinate operational activities to maximise efficiency and productivity.
• Monitor GHA service delivery, address shortcomings promptly and ensure compliance with EK standards.
• Resolve delays, disruptions, cargo mishandling and transfer issues to minimise off‑loadings and optimise space utilisation.
• Review and compile cargo documentation in line with local regulations and company policies.
• Complete post‑flight activities, including dispatch of messages, forwarding documentation and maintaining station files.
• Investigate and respond to queries, complaints and claims from internal and external customers.
• Update cargo systems for accurate rate filing and revenue accounting.
• Motivate, train and supervise staff, manage rostering, performance appraisals and administrative tasks.

Required profile

• GCSE (or equivalent) with at least 6 years cargo operations experience, including 4 years in a leadership role, OR A‑Level (or equivalent) with at least 4 years cargo experience and 2 years team‑leading experience.
• Legal right to live and work in Bahrain.
• Fluency in English and the local language.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations and a valid DG certificate.
• Understanding of Weight & Balance procedures and Live Animal Regulations.
• Proficiency with PC applications: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and email.
• Strong analytical and numeracy abilities.
