Chess Coach

About the role

Arjun's Chess Academy is seeking a full-time Chess Coach to join its on-site team in Bahrain. The coach will deliver high-quality chess instruction to students ranging from beginners to advanced players, both in individual and group settings.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver tailored lesson plans for various skill levels.
• Conduct one‑on‑one and group coaching sessions, including online classes when required.
• Analyse students’ games, provide constructive feedback, and track progress.
• Mentor players during tournaments and prepare them for competitive play.
• Collaborate with academy staff and maintain clear communication with students and parents.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of chess rules, strategies and techniques, with a proven competitive playing record.
• Experience developing educational programs and coaching players of differing abilities.
• Excellent communication skills to instruct and inspire learners of all ages.
• Organisational ability to create lesson plans and monitor student development.
• Patience, enthusiasm and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
