Construction Manager

About the role

Al Hassanain is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to support the Project Manager in planning and executing construction projects in Manama. The role involves coordinating contractors, optimizing resources, and ensuring that all work meets quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with overall project planning and execution.
• Coordinate, plan, and manage schedules for contractors and subcontractors.
• Optimize manpower, equipment, and material resources throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide regular progress updates, daily, weekly and monthly reports, and reconcile construction consumable material statements.
• Review and monitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Plan construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to meet deadlines.
• Procure equipment and materials, monitor stock levels, and address shortages promptly.
• Supervise engineers, supervisors, foremen and provide guidance as needed.
• Communicate with stakeholders to ensure client requirements are met while adhering to industry best practices.
• Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and local regulatory codes.
• Liaise with logistics, HR, finance and other departments for resource issuance.
• Oversee implementation of approved MS, QA/QC, QS/Planning and HSE plans.
• Maintain project budget and target dates.
• Execute any additional tasks assigned by senior management within required timeframes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5‑8 years of experience for degree holders or 7‑10 years for diploma holders.
• Experience in offshore pipeline works, earthworks, marine construction, rock revetment, reclamation or dredging projects is preferred.
• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Strong communication skills, hardworking and flexible with working hours.
