Counter Trafficking Consultant

About the role

The Counter Trafficking Consultant will support the Phase II implementation of the Regional Centre of Excellence for Combatting Trafficking in Persons (RCTiP) in Bahrain. The role focuses on expanding training curricula, developing digital learning solutions, and strengthening Bahrain’s regional leadership against human trafficking.

Key responsibilities

• Adapt existing anti‑trafficking training materials for a broader audience, including interpreters, recruitment officers, and border officials.
• Design and launch e‑learning modules to facilitate self‑learning and awareness‑raising.
• Support capacity‑development activities for frontline service providers and protection agencies.
• Contribute to research, data collection, and management activities aligned with IOM’s Counter‑Trafficking Theory of Change.
• Explore sustainability options such as monetisation of training programmes.
• Coordinate with IOM, LMRA, government entities, and regional partners to ensure alignment with national and international standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in counter‑trafficking projects, training design, or capacity‑building initiatives.
• Strong understanding of international anti‑trafficking standards and regional (MENA) context.
• Ability to work with multi‑stakeholder teams and navigate governmental processes.
