Employment Support Professional – IPS (Davidson County)

About the role

RHA Health Services is seeking an energetic Employment Support Professional to join its Individualized Supported Employment (IPS) program in Davidson County. You will help adults with intellectual, developmental, mental health, and substance‑use challenges secure and retain meaningful employment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with private and public employers to create unsubsidized job opportunities.
• Prepare clients for the job search process, including resume building, interview coaching, and workplace readiness.
• Place clients into appropriate positions and provide ongoing follow‑up support to ensure job retention.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to integrate employment goals into broader treatment plans.
• Maintain compliance with disability and privacy laws while documenting client progress.

Required profile

• Positive, personable attitude with strong customer‑service orientation.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple client caseloads.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Commitment to promoting client self‑advocacy and empowerment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of disability, mental‑health, and substance‑use issues.
• Understanding of employment‑support models, especially IPS and long‑term vocational supports.
• Familiarity with relevant federal and state regulations regarding disability and privacy.
