Estimator – Fit‑Out Specialist

About the role

The Estimator – Fit‑Out is responsible for producing accurate, competitive cost estimates for fit‑out projects, from initial enquiry through to tender submission and hand‑over to operational teams. The role ensures that all estimates are commercially sound and aligned with client requirements and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review enquiries, RFQs, drawings, specifications and contract documents to define scope and pricing schedule.
• Clarify exclusions, assumptions and technical requirements with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits and attend tender meetings to assess project conditions and delivery constraints.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates covering materials, labour, subcontract works, logistics, preliminaries and installation.
• Identify value‑engineering opportunities and alternative solutions that maintain quality and programme.
• Issue enquiries to suppliers and subcontractors, analyse quotations, negotiate rates and commercial terms.
• Prepare tender analysis, pricing summaries, mark‑up recommendations and supporting documentation for internal review.
• Present estimates during vetting meetings, address queries and ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Coordinate hand‑over packages for awarded projects, including assumptions, risks and supplier quotations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cost estimation for fit‑out or interior construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, bills of quantities and tender documentation.
• Ability to conduct site assessments and interpret technical drawings.
• Excellent analytical skills for supplier quotation comparison and value engineering.
• Effective communication with clients, design, procurement and project teams.
