Food Retail Auditor

About the role

We are looking for detail‑oriented Food Retail Auditors to carry out on‑site assessments of supermarkets, convenience stores and other food service outlets. The role involves verifying compliance with food safety, hygiene, operational and brand standards and delivering clear, professional audit reports.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑site audits of food retail locations, evaluating store conditions, product quality, merchandising, inventory management and customer service.
• Collect evidence through observations, photographs and interviews with staff.
• Analyse findings against food safety, hygiene and brand guidelines.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports within agreed timelines, highlighting non‑compliance and actionable recommendations.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism throughout each assignment.
• Coordinate with the client and audit team to ensure smooth completion of assignments.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in food retail auditing, quality assurance, food safety or related retail operations.
• Strong understanding of food retail processes and audit methodologies.
• Excellent observation, analytical and written communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus for Middle‑East locations.
• Ability to travel locally within the assigned country and work independently to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with smartphones and tablets for data capture.
• Experience using digital reporting tools to compile audit results.
