Food Service Shift Lead

About the role

The Food Service Shift Lead oversees all food‑service operations, ensuring safe, high‑quality meals and a clean dining environment for personnel. Reporting to the Food Service Supervisor, this role also monitors other national employees and vendors in line with the performance work statement.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, bake, serve, and replenish food items, including salad bar vegetables and fruits.
• Manage storeroom functions such as ordering subsistence, receiving shipments, off‑loading trucks, stocking, and relocating food.
• Clean facilities, equipment, and utensils; buss tables in dining areas.
• Maintain quality control, perform minor equipment repairs, and ensure proper sanitation.
• Escort and monitor other country‑national employees and vendors as required.
• Uphold company standards, lead by example, and work collaboratively with the team.
• Assist Storeroom and Food Service Supervisors to maintain 24/7/365 operations.
• Ensure a safe, clean, sanitary, and professional atmosphere in all work areas.
• Safeguard government and contractor property, including facilities, equipment, and tools.
• Accurately complete time‑reporting procedures and timesheets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current Serve‑Safe certification (within the past 3 years).
• Valid CPR certification.
• Current, valid U.S. passport and U.S. or local driver’s license; ability to drive a standard‑transmission vehicle.
• Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Minimum of one (1) year of food‑service experience with progressive supervisory responsibilities.
