French Teacher

About the role

The International School of Choueifat in Sharjah is seeking a French Teacher to deliver the SABIS® curriculum, support student achievement and contribute to a vibrant learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach French classes using provided lesson plans or develop plans based on SABIS® pacing charts.
• Mark exams and assessments according to departmental schedules.
• Discuss disciplinary and academic concerns with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department.
• Implement the SABIS® Point System to maintain a conducive classroom atmosphere.
• Proctor examinations and ensure a well‑managed testing environment.
• Provide additional support and motivation to low‑performing students.
• Assist with external exam preparation and revision schedules where applicable.
• Perform school duties such as substituting for absent teachers, organizing student logistics, and supporting student life activities.
• Participate in training sessions to deepen understanding of the SABIS® system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Proficiency in English.
• Minimum of one year of teaching experience.
• Demonstrated accountability, professional conduct and results‑orientation.
• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
