Medical Receptionist

About the role

Positive Think Management & Consultancy, a healthcare-focused consulting firm operating since 2014, is hiring a full-time, on-site Medical Receptionist in Bahrain. The role greets patients and visitors, manages check-in and check-out, and keeps the reception area professional and welcoming.

Key responsibilities

• Answer and direct phone calls
• Schedule and confirm appointments
• Update patient records
• Coordinate with medical staff to support smooth clinic operations
• Handle basic administrative duties such as filing, data entry and correspondence
• Ensure patient information is kept confidential and accurate
• Communicate clearly and courteously with patients, families and healthcare teams

Required profile

• Previous experience in a medical or healthcare reception role is preferred; a background in customer service or administration is beneficial
• Relevant certificate or diploma in healthcare administration, office management or a related field is an advantage
• Effective verbal and written communication in English; additional languages relevant to Bahrain are an advantage

Required skills

• Appointment scheduling and receptionist duties
• Phone etiquette and customer service
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures
• Basic computer literacy, including electronic medical records or scheduling systems and common office applications
• Organization, attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
