Merchandiser – Retail Planning & Allocation

About the role

This role supports the Brand Manager in developing product and assortment strategies that meet financial targets. It coordinates allocation and delivery of merchandise across stores in Bahrain, assists with pre‑season planning, in‑season forecasting, open‑to‑buy management and budgeting for new store openings.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating merchandise plans using historical trends, sales performance and brand outlooks.
• Analyze store profiles (stock weeks, sales blend, inventory by grade) to guide allocation decisions.
• Execute in‑season stock analysis, balancing, markdown management and performance reviews.
• Plan merchandise mix, initial allocations and reserve management based on pre‑distribution plans.
• Collaborate with Senior Merchandiser on seasonal assortment plans and size run books.
• Monitor competitor product lines, pricing and category developments.
• Support margin negotiations, order placements and stock distribution decisions.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in retail merchandising or a similar fashion/lifestyle role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Operations, Merchandising or related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of product strategy, vendor coordination, range development and trend analysis.
