Outage Manager

About the role

The Outage Manager leads the planning, execution, and close‑out of complex planned or emergent outage events for gas turbines, steam turbines and generators. Working within GE Vernova’s FieldCore team, the role ensures reliable, affordable energy delivery while supporting the company’s field fulfilment excellence strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage outage events from start to finish, including schedule development, labor, tooling and cost planning.
• Lead onsite execution as site lead, coordinating large teams to meet Fulfilment‑5 goals.
• Track on‑job costs, productivity, and manage execution risk using FMEA and warranty considerations.
• Drive improvements in on‑time delivery, outage cost and productivity; maintain accurate tracking files.
• Develop project quotations, scope work, conduct site condition checks and preliminary safety/risk analyses.
• Support customer operations during shutdown, start‑up, and performance testing of turbines, generators and auxiliary systems.
• Ensure proper documentation of field procedures, quality procedures and EHS requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex outage projects in the power generation sector.
• Strong ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and interact with customers.
• Demonstrated competence in cost tracking, risk assessment and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with field service processes and warranty management.
