Planning Engineer

About the role

The Planning Engineer provides planning and scheduling support across construction projects, ensuring that baseline programs, progress updates, and reports meet company standards. The role works closely with project teams and may take on delegated responsibilities as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing baseline schedules using Primavera P6 and support the Senior Planning Engineer in updating project programs.
• Define coding structures, WBS, and resource loading in line with company standards.
• Develop 2‑week and 4‑week look‑ahead schedules and cost‑ and resource‑loaded schedules for Earned Value Management tracking.
• Collect progress data, update schedules, and generate progress reports, dashboards, and variance analyses.
• Support delay analysis, time impact assessments, and prepare draft recovery schedules.
• Liaise with Cost Control, QS/Contracts, Procurement, and vendor teams to ensure program alignment.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling within the construction or engineering sector.
• Good understanding of contract programmes, time impact analysis and basic Earned Value Management concepts.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Primavera P6 (essential).
• Strong MS Excel reporting skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
