Protection Testing Engineer – Power Systems (Bahrain)

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Protection Testing Engineer to join its power systems team in Bahrain. The role focuses on testing, commissioning, and maintaining protective relays and related equipment for high‑voltage substations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform protective relay testing, fault analysis, and circuit‑breaker operation verification.
• Design, implement, and calculate protection settings for power system projects.
• Lead electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities on substation projects.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and manage project timelines.
• Ensure compliance with international standards, IEC 61850, and local regulations.

Required profile

• B.E. or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in electrical installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Proven ability to work on multiple discipline projects and make technical decisions.
• Leadership, time‑management, and strong organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Indian and Gulf power‑system standards; CRPEP license is a plus.
