Real Estate Development Director

About the role

The Real Estate Development Director leads the planning, evaluation, and execution of development initiatives from concept to completion. This senior position provides strategic and commercial leadership, ensuring projects meet investment objectives, market demands, quality standards, and business priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate development opportunities, conduct market and feasibility studies, and support investment decisions.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, milestones, and performance objectives.
• Coordinate internal and external teams, monitor progress across workstreams, and address issues to maintain project momentum.
• Oversee financial analysis, cash‑flow planning, return assessments, and cost management.
• Manage relationships with architects, consultants, contractors, legal advisers, financial institutions, and government authorities.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities to inform development strategies.
• Ensure governance, reporting, risk mitigation, and compliance throughout the development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading real‑estate development projects from inception to delivery.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess financial viability and investment returns.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, working with senior leadership, investors, consultants, and public authorities.
• Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and schedule.
