Retail Project Manager – Joinery & Interiors Projects

About the role

We are seeking a natural leader with extensive experience in joinery manufacturing and interior fit‑out projects to manage retail installation initiatives from award to handover. The role demands high responsibility, independent project execution, and strong communication in English.

Key responsibilities

• Organise project kick‑off meetings with internal departments and fit‑out teams, aligning scope, timeline and expectations.
• Conduct site assessments, surveys, and capture critical dimensions for the Setting Out Manager.
• Perform on‑site setting out/marking of joinery equipment and address technical queries from clients or contractors.
• Maintain the project schedule—preferably using MS Projects—and ensure milestones are met.
• Generate daily/weekly progress reports with photos and distribute them to the Project Manager and Setting Out Manager.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines without constant supervision.
• Facilitate daily communication between fit‑out teams, factory personnel and client representatives, escalating discrepancies as needed.
• Observe installations and recommend adjustments to equipment for future fit‑outs.

Required profile

• At least 8 years of experience with reputable joinery manufacturing or interior design firms.
• Self‑driven, dependable leader capable of improving efficiency and output.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Team player who can identify strengths and weaknesses and motivate others in challenging situations.
