Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our hospitality and restaurant business in Seef, Bahrain. The successful candidate will oversee daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial records, and support strategic financial decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting activities, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Record and review transactions using Odoo ERP.
• Perform regular bank, cash, and other account reconciliations.
• Handle month‑end closing and produce timely financial reports.
• Monitor revenues, expenses, cash collections, and daily financial transactions.
• Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for management.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide required documentation.
• Support VAT filings and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and drive timely resolution.
• Maintain proper documentation and adhere to internal accounting controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently without close supervision.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Odoo ERP.
