Senior Medical Representative – Respiratory Products

About the role

The Senior Medical Representative will promote AstraZeneca's respiratory portfolio in Bahrain, influencing prescribing decisions through scientific, on‑label discussions. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to communicate product efficacy, safety and patient value, while meeting sales targets and adhering to company compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Engage primary‑care physicians, pharmacists and key external experts in evidence‑based conversations about approved respiratory indications.
• Partner with the Sales Manager to design and execute a territory plan that exceeds sales, coverage and call‑execution goals.
• Drive performance through robust account planning, customer segmentation and diligent follow‑up.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and manage allocated budgets in line with therapeutic‑area expectations.
• Develop deep knowledge of the Bahrain respiratory market, including formulary status, competitor activity and patient pathways.
• Build and sustain trusted relationships with HCPs across public and private sectors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related healthcare discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
• Strong understanding of the commercial pharma marketplace and customer‑engagement principles.
• Proven account‑planning, territory‑management and project‑management capabilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Prior experience in the Bahrain market and, preferably, in respiratory therapy.
