Solar Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Solar Maintenance Technician will join a reputable energy company operating in Bahrain to ensure optimal performance of solar power plants. You will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of photovoltaic (PV) systems, supporting both preventive and corrective activities on site.

Key responsibilities

• Clean PV panels monthly to remove dust, bird droppings and debris.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on inverters, transformers, switchgear and cabling.
• Diagnose and resolve DC and AC faults using PV system diagnostics tools.
• Inspect panels, strings, combiner boxes and record all maintenance actions.
• Prepare weekly and monthly power generation and HSE reports.
• Install solar panels, inverters and electrical wiring, and connect systems to the grid.
• Maintain tool and consumable inventories and ensure site housekeeping.
• Work safely at height and comply with all electrical safety standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in solar plant O&M or electrical installation.
• Good knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety compliance.
• Ability to work in a team and follow HSE procedures.
