Student Success Advisor

About the role

The Student Success Advisor supports returning students at AUBH by identifying academic risk early, providing guidance, and linking them to university support services. The role focuses on improving retention, academic performance, and overall student wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Advise at‑risk students on course selection, registration, workload and progression requirements.
• Monitor attendance and academic performance, proactively contacting students showing concerning patterns.
• Identify students needing additional academic, personal, or wellbeing support and coordinate referrals to advisors, counselors or other services.
• Facilitate meetings between students and support staff to ensure concerns are addressed.
• Maintain confidential records of interventions, follow‑ups and outcomes.
• Assist with counselling‑related matters and coordinate student grievance and appeal processes.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of early‑intervention and retention strategies.
• Perform other duties related to student success and retention as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Psychology or Education.
• Minimum three years of full‑time professional experience in an educational setting such as a university or high school.
• Professional certification or experience in teaching and learning is an advantage.
• Demonstrated commitment to student success, retention and holistic support.
