Student Supervisor – School Discipline Coordinator

About the role

The Student Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a safe, orderly environment throughout the school day. This role supports students, teachers, and parents by overseeing discipline, managing transitions, and ensuring that school policies are consistently applied.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct corridor, bathroom and classroom checks before the start of the day to guarantee a clean and safe environment.
• Coordinate student line‑up before, during and after recess with prefects to maintain order.
• Manage travel time between classes, ensuring punctuality and efficient movement.
• Mentor students on the importance of discipline and a calm learning atmosphere.
• Monitor classroom entry after breaks to keep noise levels low.
• Enter accurate data into the SABIS® School Management System, including attendance, infractions and reports.
• Contact parents regarding absences or disciplinary matters.
• Observe classes to safeguard a calm learning environment and prevent bullying or fighting.
• Accompany students to the bus area after school and verify correct bus allocation.
• Prepare daily reports on teacher observations, student infractions and complaints.
• Assist with exam hall supervision and enforce safety rules during activities.
• Participate in weekly meetings and training sessions on student behavior.

Required skills

• Experience using the SABIS® School Management System (SSMS/SIS) for attendance and incident reporting.
• Basic reporting and data entry proficiency.
