Accountant

About the role

Alzayani Investments is looking for a motivated Accountant to join its team in Manama, Bahrain. This full‑time position involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier payments, issue receipts and assign control numbers.
• Enter invoices and payments into the accounting system and maintain the cash book.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and manage petty‑cash vouchers.
• Maintain the Fixed Assets Management System and support fixed‑asset audits.
• Assist with VAT return reconciliation and ensure proper recording.
• Coordinate with internal auditors and external auditors as required.
• Perform other related accounting tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 0–2 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
• Familiarity with Fixed Assets Management Systems.
