Application Support Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Application Support Specialist to join our IT team. The role ensures high availability, performance, and fit‑for‑purpose functionality of business applications while providing technical support and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Handle all levels of support requests through Service Desk ticketing systems such as JIRA or ServiceNow.
• Diagnose, reproduce and resolve application‑related incidents and software bugs, and work with development teams on fixes.
• Maintain and improve the business applications knowledge base, ensuring it is current and searchable.
• Identify repeatable tasks and create runbook automations using PowerShell or Python to reduce manual effort and MTTR.
• Collaborate with internal departments and end users to provide training on system functions and new features.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in application support, technical support, or related IT roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong functional and technical background in financial systems; experience with CRM systems is a plus.

Required skills

• .NET development (framework 4.5 or higher)
• Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle with strong SQL query and performance‑tuning abilities
• PowerShell and Python scripting for automation
• Windows Server operating system knowledge
• Familiarity with ticketing tools (JIRA, ServiceNow) and monitoring platforms (Zabbix, Splunk)
