Arabic Social Studies Teacher

About the role

The International School of Choueifat seeks a dedicated Arabic Social Studies teacher to join its vibrant community in 6th of October City. You will deliver the SABIS® curriculum, fostering academic excellence and personal growth for students while adhering to the network’s proven educational philosophy.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Arabic Social Studies using provided lesson plans or develop plans based on SABIS® pacing charts.
• Mark exams and assessments in line with departmental schedules.
• Collaborate with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department on disciplinary and performance matters.
• Implement the SABIS® Point System to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Proctor examinations, ensuring a secure and well‑managed testing setting.
• Support low‑performing students through guidance, motivation, and targeted interventions.
• Assist with external exam preparation, following structured revision schedules.
• Perform additional duties such as substitute teaching, student transportation coordination, and administrative tasks as assigned.
• Participate in student life activities, including art events, open houses, and physical education programs, in partnership with the Student Life Coordinator.
• Attend training sessions to deepen understanding of the SABIS® system and enhance student outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject or equivalent qualification.
• Proficiency in English.
• Minimum of one year of teaching experience.
• Professional behavior and strong ethical conduct.
