KS2 Teacher – British Curriculum

About the role

The British School of Bahrain is seeking an experienced KS2 teacher to join its vibrant, multicultural community starting August 2027. You will deliver the National Curriculum for England and Wales, adapted to the local context, and contribute to a supportive, fun learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the school curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Assess student progress regularly, providing targeted feedback to drive outstanding achievement.
• Foster a positive classroom atmosphere where students feel valued, supported, and motivated to take learning risks.
• Collaborate with colleagues, share best practices, and commit to continuous professional development.
• Participate actively in the co‑curricular programme, leading clubs and contributing to school-wide initiatives.
• Maintain constructive communication with parents, building strong partnerships to support each child’s development.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for education with a proven track record of academic and professional excellence.
• Strong subject expertise, ability to inspire and support outstanding student progress.
• Experience in assessing progress, providing feedback, and preparing students for external examinations.
• Commitment to pastoral care and student wellbeing, with excellent interpersonal skills.
• PGCE, QTS or equivalent qualification, with strong academic credentials; postgraduate study is a plus.
• Excellent organisational, administrative, and time‑management abilities.
