Architect

About the role

The Architect develops architectural concepts, prepares design proposals and coordinates building design activities to create functional, safe and visually appealing spaces. The role covers design, technical documentation, material selection, regulatory coordination and project collaboration, ensuring solutions match project objectives, design standards and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts, preliminary layouts and design presentations for residential, commercial, institutional and other projects, considering functionality, accessibility, aesthetics, sustainability and efficient use of space.
• Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, construction details, schedules and other drawings, keeping them clear, accurate and coordinated.
• Review drawings, update design revisions, maintain project documentation and coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical and other disciplines.
• Support design specifications, presentation materials and submission documentation for project approvals.
• Communicate with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers, attend design meetings, review progress and coordinate revisions.
• Assess material substitutions, monitor design consistency, support site inspections and resolve design conflicts.
• Review building regulations, planning requirements, accessibility standards and sustainability principles.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture or a closely related architectural design discipline.
• Knowledge of architectural drawings, construction methods, building codes, planning regulations and accessibility requirements.
• Strong visual, spatial and technical reasoning, attention to detail, and good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary teams, and to manage design tasks and deadlines.

Required skills

• Architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit or SketchUp.
• Understanding of construction materials, finishes, detailing and sustainable design.
