Assistant Internal Auditor

About the role

As an Assistant Internal Auditor you will join Alzayani Investments’ internal audit team, supporting the evaluation of risk management, control and governance across a diversified portfolio that includes automotive, healthcare, manufacturing, real estate and services. The role is based in Manama and is ideal for a meticulous professional eager to develop audit expertise in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the planning and execution of internal audit engagements.
• Prepare clear, accurate work papers documenting tests and findings.
• Examine internal controls, policies and procedures for effectiveness, efficiency and compliance with local regulations and group standards.
• Identify and assess significant business risks, providing practical recommendations for improvement.
• Assist senior auditors and the Head of Internal Audit in drafting comprehensive audit reports.
• Conduct follow‑up reviews to monitor implementation of agreed recommendations.
• Maintain integrity, objectivity and confidentiality throughout audit activities.
• Collaborate with the audit team to share insights and enhance analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related business field.
• Active pursuit or possession of professional qualifications such as CIA, ACCA or CPA (advantageous).
• Proven experience in an internal or external audit role, preferably within a diversified business environment.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
• Strong understanding of internal audit principles and IIA standards.
