Assistant Manager – Quality Assurance

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Quality Assurance will lead and coordinate quality assurance activities for aviation maintenance and training, ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and coordinate QA activities in line with company procedures and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain an independent QA system separate from maintenance operations.
• Supervise QA personnel to ensure effective execution of quality and compliance tasks.
• Act as deputy to Quality Management during absences, liaising with regulators, customers and internal stakeholders.
• Support implementation and monitoring of the Safety Management System, including hazard identification and risk assessment.
• Manage the internal occurrence reporting system, ensuring capture, investigation and communication of safety reports and non‑conformities.
• Conduct scheduled reviews of BAS manuals (MOE, MTOE) against regulatory standards and support document control.
• Plan and execute internal audits, compliance checks for Part 145 and Part 147, and oversee supplier audits.
• Monitor corrective and preventive actions, ensuring timely closure and escalation.
• Assist in resource planning, workload management, budget monitoring and QA personnel assignments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aviation quality assurance or a similar regulatory environment.
• Knowledge of European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 145 and Part 147 requirements.
• Familiarity with Safety Management System (SMS) processes and Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE).
• Ability to coordinate audits, compliance checks and manage corrective actions.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with aviation authorities and internal stakeholders.
