Bar Waitress - Xenia Bar

About the role

The Xenia bar and lounge at the Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain, a five-star hotel next to Bahrain International Airport, is looking for a bar waitress. The role covers day-to-day service alongside waiters and bartenders, from taking orders to clearing tables and refilling stations, and acts as a link between back of house and front of house.

Key responsibilities

• Take and serve guest orders promptly and accurately, following the service manual, and explain menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods on request.
• Deliver food and beverage service to customers, offering information on daily specials and drinks, and encouraging sales of targeted services.
• Support waiters and bartenders with food pick-up, table service, clearing tables, station refills and drink service.
• Maintain the bar stations and the bar, and act as the communication point between back of house and front of house.
• Welcome guests warmly, listen to their questions and concerns, and pass guest feedback and requests to management.
• Keep track of guests' personal belongings left at the workstation and hand them to supervisors.
• Follow departmental procedures, the Food and Beverage Manager's operational standards and the weekly work schedule, and attend orientation training.

Required profile

• Clear, efficient English communication.
• Proven track record of surprising and delighting guests, with strong service under pressure.
• Detail-oriented, able to work within a team and multi-task.
• Flexibility to adapt to different situations and strong time management.
