Bartender - Hawar Resort

About the role

Hawar Resort by Mantis, part of the Mantis collection of eco-lodges and resorts, is looking for a full-time Bartender. The role involves preparing and serving a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests, with excellent knowledge of cocktail recipes, attention to detail and strong customer service skills.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously, creating a welcoming environment
• Take orders from guests and waitstaff, give recommendations and upsell beverages when appropriate
• Prepare and serve coffee, tea and specialty drinks according to standard recipes
• Create new beverages and develop the menu
• Ensure correct glassware, garnishes and presentation, and maintain high quality standards
• Keep the bar clean and organised, restock supplies, check inventory regularly and report shortages to management
• Follow health and safety rules for handling and storing ingredients
• Process cash, credit and debit payments accurately and balance the cash register at the end of each shift
• Work closely with waitstaff and the kitchen team and take part in team meetings

Required profile

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills focused on guest service
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food and beverage menu items, including dietary restrictions and preferences
• Attention to detail and ability to follow service procedures
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
• A hospitality-related certificate or training is preferred but not required
