F&B Barista

About the role

Hawar Resort by Mantis is looking for a full-time F&B Barista to craft high-quality beverages while delivering exceptional guest service. The role suits someone with a passion for beverages, strong technical skills and a commitment to creating memorable experiences for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously, keeping a welcoming and friendly environment
• Take beverage orders from customers and waitstaff, give recommendations and upsell when appropriate
• Prepare and serve coffee, tea and specialty beverages according to standard recipes
• Create new and innovative beverages to enhance the menu
• Ensure correct glassware, garnishes and presentation, maintaining high quality standards
• Keep the bar area clean and organised, including countertops, sinks and storage
• Restock bar supplies, check inventory regularly and inform management of shortages
• Follow health and safety regulations and handle and store ingredients properly
• Process cash, credit and debit payments accurately and balance the cash register at the end of each shift
• Work closely with the waitstaff and kitchen team and take part in team meetings

Required profile

• Certification in Barista Training, Hospitality or a related field is an advantage
• Minimum of 2 years as a Barista, preferably in a luxury hotel, resort or specialty coffee shop
• Previous experience in Bahrain or the Middle East is preferred
• Willingness to work shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods, latte art and specialty coffee preparation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-centric approach
• Attention to detail to maintain high-quality beverage standards and presentation
