Bid Manager

About the role

The Bid Manager drives the estimation and tender process for a large‑size joinery manufacturing division, ensuring competitive pricing and high win rates. Reporting to the department head, the role balances client communication, internal coordination, and continuous improvement of bid performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all estimation‑related processes, interpreting tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Prepare and review bills of quantities, material take‑offs, and cost estimates to meet submission deadlines.
• Lead and schedule the estimating team, overseeing workload, post‑tender handovers, awards, and commercial support.
• Maintain and expand the supplier database, pre‑qualifying new vendors.
• Support cost control activities and ensure compliance with company policies on document retention.
• Coordinate with setting‑out, production, and purchasing departments for seamless project execution.
• Periodically review and update estimating policies, procedures, and the bid calendar.

Required profile

• University degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or equivalent.
• 10‑15 years of experience in estimation and bid management within large joinery manufacturing or similar industries.
• Strong knowledge of high‑quality joinery products, commercial and contractual issues.
• Proven senior‑level leadership experience in a multinational environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
