Retail Project Manager

About the role

The Retail Project Manager will lead and oversee retail installation and fit‑out projects for a joinery manufacturing and interiors company. The role requires managing projects from award through to handover, coordinating internal teams, fit‑out contractors and clients across the MENA region.

Key responsibilities

• Organise project kick‑off meetings with internal departments and fit‑out teams, aligning scope, timeline and expectations.
• Conduct site assessments, surveys and provide critical dimensions to the Setting Out Manager.
• Perform on‑site setting out/marking of joinery equipment and address technical queries from clients or contractors.
• Maintain project schedules using MS Project, generate daily/weekly progress reports with photos, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Coordinate daily communication between fit‑out teams, factory personnel and clients, escalating discrepancies promptly.
• Observe installations, report adjustments needed for equipment, and handle client negotiations under pressure.
• Travel to project sites across the MENA region and adapt to flexible working hours, including weekends when required.

Required profile

• Natural leader with 5‑8 years experience in joinery manufacturing and hospitality/entertainment projects.
• Self‑driven, high responsibility, strong planning and time‑management capabilities.
• Effective oral and written communicator in English, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail‑oriented problem‑solver with the ability to make decisions in a large‑scale setup.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Competence in Microsoft Word.
• Experience using Microsoft Project for schedule management.
