Carving Artist

About the role

The Carving Artist will join Ice Matter’s creative team to produce intricate ice sculptures for a variety of events and client projects. Working on‑site in New Hidd, you will translate client concepts into visually striking, high‑quality ice artworks while adhering to delivery schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Design and plan ice sculptures based on client specifications and event themes.
• Carve, shape, and finish ice blocks using specialized tools and techniques.
• Maintain and organize carving equipment, tools, and workspaces to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to guarantee timely delivery and installation of finished pieces.
• Document designs and processes for future reference and quality control.

Required profile

• Proficiency in sculpture carving and ice‑carving techniques.
• Knowledge of design tools, templates, and geometric principles for accurate detailing.
• Ability to operate and safely maintain carving equipment.
• Strong creative problem‑solving and artistic vision.
• Excellent time‑management and organizational skills to meet project deadlines.
• Physical dexterity and stamina to work in cold environments and handle heavy ice blocks.
• Experience with event‑based services or an understanding of event aesthetics is a plus.
