Cashier – Customer Service & Sales

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our store team. You will be the first point of contact for customers, handling transactions quickly while delivering excellent service and supporting store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Process payments accurately (cash, credit cards, vouchers) and issue receipts, refunds, and change.
• Balance the cash till at the start and end of each shift, ensuring adequate change is available.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and present products attractively.
• Promote impulse purchases and the loyalty program, explaining benefits and assisting with sign‑ups.
• Handle customer inquiries about returns, exchanges, and loyalty membership.
• Follow operational guidelines for product preparation, perform temperature checks, and log results.
• Participate in store meetings, adhere to hygiene standards, and comply with health & safety regulations.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in a cashier or customer‑service role.
• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and accurate cash handling.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and basic math ability.
