About the role
The Claims Payment Processor is responsible for managing the end‑to‑end flow of claim payments, ensuring timely reporting to payers, preparing electronic fund transfers, and maintaining accurate accounting records. This position supports the Accounting Department by coordinating activities efficiently and upholding compliance standards.
Key responsibilities
- Send processed claims reports to payers within the agreed turnaround time.
- Prepare electronic fund transfers for providers within the required timeframe.
- Book financial transactions promptly with proper supporting documentation.
- Follow control procedures and meet all accounting deadlines.
- Provide professional correspondence to internal teams and external insurance members.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and monitor transaction accuracy.
- Maintain records, files, and provide accurate information on request.
- Perform account reconciliations and post necessary monthly journal entries.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a TPA, BPO, hospital or medical center environment.
- Experience with accounting software is advantageous.
- Physically fit to perform duties.
- Legally authorized to work in the country of operation.
