Commis 1 – Cake Baker/Decorator

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Commis 1 Baker/Decorator to join our fast‑growing production team. You will support both baking operations and basic cake decoration, ensuring every order meets our high standards of quality, presentation, and freshness.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out baking‑line activities such as mixing, portioning, baking and other production tasks.
• Assist with basic cake decoration, including piping, drawing and finishing, and support senior decorators when required.
• Move between baking and decorating sections according to production volume and operational needs.
• Maintain consistent techniques, follow standard recipes and decorating guidelines, and uphold food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in baking, pastry or a similar production environment.
• Hands‑on experience with mixing, portioning and baking, plus basic cake‑decorating skills.
• Strong attention to detail, reliable technique and ability to work efficiently in a high‑volume setting.
• Good teamwork, communication skills and willingness to support different production areas.
