Government Relations Officer (GRO/PRO)

About the role

The Government Relations Officer will establish and manage all government relations, regulatory compliance, and administrative processes for Tivoli Bilaj Al Jazayer Bahrain Resort and Avani Bilaj Al Jazayer Bahrain Resort. This role ensures smooth processing of visas, work permits, and other statutory requirements, supporting both pre‑opening and ongoing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage employee work permits, residence visas, renewals, cancellations and immigration requirements in line with Bahrain regulations.
• Lead pre‑opening setup of government relations processes, including company registrations, licensing, employee immigration documentation and regulatory approvals.
• Liaise with Labour Market Regulatory Authority, NPRA, Ministry of Labour and other authorities to secure and renew hotel licences, permits and approvals.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records of immigration documents and monitor expiry dates to ensure timely renewals.
• Support People & Culture with onboarding, immigration formalities and coordinate government inspections and audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Public Administration or related field.
• 2–3 years experience as a Government Relations Officer, preferably in Bahrain hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of Bahrain labour laws, immigration regulations and government procedures.
• Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
• Valid Bahrain driving licence is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using Bahrain government online portals for licences and permits.
